Last month I reported on theMbot Cubefrom Chinese manufacturer, Mbot 3D. I highlighted this derivative/clone (there is some debate in a few circles as to what it actually is) with the view that they were riding on the branding and success of both Makerbot and 3D Systems. There is still no evidence that either of these companies have a problem with Mbot 3D, but whether this will change following the recent launch of the second iteration of Mbot Cube II, remains to be seen.
