Earlier this month,we announced that Falcon had changed the terms of their acquisition of Robo3D, and also that the San Diego based company was expected to release two new printers this year. Well that day is upon us, with their Kickstarter launch today.
Robo C2 and Robo R2
The design of both printers is pretty sleek, they were made with the help of Outerspace Design, who ensured the machines featured a highly functional mechanical design that was aesthetically pleasing.

Robo C2
The smaller of the two printers doesn’t lack in features. It is a compact machine, with abuild volume of 5″ x 5″ x 6″. It has a built in 3.5″ color touch screen and precision sensor technology, making sure every print is up to your specification. Robo C2 features an auto levelling print bed, which is also removable. On top of integrated model slicing, giving each layer more attention to detail, it also tells you when you’re about to run out of filament and saves your 3D print. It has two high speed fans to make sure your print is cooled for consistency, and is able to print with over 20 different materials and filaments (that don’t require heated beds).
Robo R2
The Robo R2 is a robust, high performance machine. On top of the features of the Robo C2, it can tackle larger projects with its8英寸x 8英寸x 10英寸的构建体积, and features a加热的印刷床, improving the quality of each print while preventing warping. It has a fast print speed, an on-board camera and a 5″ color touch screen. It has the ability of adding a second extrusion head so you can print two materials at once, and can print with over 30 materials and filaments.
Both printers come with lifetime 24/7 customer support, and 12 months limited part replacement warranty. As an added bonus backers also get a 12 month subscription to Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD software (commercial version).
If you happen to miss the Kickstarter, the general market release of the Robo C2 is in November and Robo R2 in January 2017.
