10 startups announced for the 2019 STANLEY + Techstars Additive Manufacturing Accelerator

Ten companies have been announced for the 2019 STANLEY+Techstars Additive Manufacturing Accelerator program based in Hartford, Connecticut.

Run byTechstars, a Colorado-based venture capital firm, and multinational tool manufacturerStanley Black & Decker, this program supports and mentors startups with the aim of forwarding new technologies onto the market.

Claudia Reuter,Managing Director at Techstars, explained, “We’ve had time to assess the program’s focus and expanded our efforts to work with companies across the advanced manufacturing vertical, with an emphasis on those working on innovations in additive manufacturing and sustainable packaging.”

“In 2018, Stanley Black & Deckersigned a pledgewith the Ellen MacArthur Foundation in an effort to ‘help build a more sustainable world’ and we are energized to adjust our program to work with startups who also share that goal.”

STANLEY+Techstars Additive Manufacturing Accelerator

In late 2017, theSTANLEY+Techstars Accelerator support and mentorship programwas launched to advance industrial 3D printing technologies. Following this, ten startups from Ireland, Israel, Canada, and the U.S. were announced for theTechstars Class 131. These startups, which included 3D printing cloud platformAstroPrint, are focused on technologies including rapid prototyping and generative design.

Selecting this year’s class, applications from over 30 countries were viewed, and the chosen ten derive from Spain, Germany, India, Texas, New York, Boston, and California. Reuter adds, “Each of the ten companies we selected are exceptional and have the potential to disrupt industries and change the world for the better. So I couldn’t be more excited to welcome them all to Connecticut for the next 13 weeks.”

The Class of 2019

In alphabetical order, the ten companies selected for the 2019 STANLEY + Techstars Additive Manufacturing Accelerator are as follows:

加速3D, a Texas-based manufacturer of large-scale 3D printers for plastic products or components 10x faster than the market standard.

Boxologic, a Massachusetts-based manufacturer of a robotic instant random-size packaging production using cutting-edge technology for e-commerce fulfillment.

皱纹, a producer of crop-based furniture and packaging, headquartered in Pune, India.

OCCO, a New York-based provider of organic spices and sustainable food packaging.

Prinsta, a manufacturer based in Atlanta, Georgia, producing proprietary automated circuit board printers.

TRIDITIVE, a Spanish 3D printer manufacturer and developer ofAMCELL, a hybrid additive manufacturing system for metals and polymers, designed for mass production.
