Mechanical Engineering Intern at 3D Printing Industry

We at 3D Printing Industry are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join us at our London office. As a leading provider of 3D printer and 3D scanner reviews, we’re in need of more technically-minded individuals to scale up our operations. The successful candidate will join the rest of our engineering team in testing the latest 3D printing technology, and writing corresponding technical reports to support our reviews.

Full Stack Developer at MyMiniFactory

Leading 3D file marketplaceMyMiniFactoryis hiring a Full Stack Developer to join its in-house development team in London (temporarily remote). The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing new features, maintaining and debugging the existing website, and working collaboratively with the rest of the team to discuss new ideas for growth.

To ensure success, applicants should have in-depth knowledge of JavaScript, React, and MVC frameworks. The role will also require an up-to-date understanding of PHP, MySQL, code versioning and Docker. Previous experience working as a Full Stack Developer is a must, with a focus on UI design, database management, and performance testing. Applicants that can demonstrate project management initiative and a passion for development outside of work will be favoured.

Marie Myers appointed CFO at HP

Looking at career moves in the 3D printing industry, 3D printer OEMHPhas appointed Marie Myers as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. With over two decades of HP experience already, Myers has been the acting CFO and Chief Transformation Officer of the company since October 2020.

During her time as Chief Transformation Officer, she has been leading the company’s Information Technology and Transformation organizations, focusing on technology, tool, and process implementation to better serve clients with new cost-saving business models. She will continue to oversee this work until HP appoints a new Chief Transformation Officer in her stead.

“Marie is one of HP’s most respected leaders and she has a proven track record of success throughout her career,” said Enrique Lores, President and CEO of HP. “As our acting CFO and chief transformation officer, she has consistently driven strong results, unlocked new sources of value, and positioned us well to deliver on our priorities. Jon Porter joins VELO3D as newHead of European Commercial Operations

Jon Porter has joined 3D printer OEMVELO3Das the new Head of Commercial Operations in Europe. He will be based in the UK, where he will oversee the company’s ongoing expansion in the region.

A long-time additive manufacturing expert, Porter had his first run-in with the technology back in the 1990s when he was working for James Dyson. Before VELO3D, he also worked in the business development team of industrial 3D printer manufacturerRenishaw’s additive manufacturing division. During his time there, he was directly involved in the development of new industrial 3D printing standards with organizations such asASTMandBSI.

Benny Buller, Founder and CEO of VELO3D, states, “With Jon at the helm of our European base of operations, manufacturers in the region now have similar-time-zone access to someone who knows AM inside and out—and who has also experienced, first-hand, how adopting this technology can make all the difference in a company’s ability to innovate and compete.”

Former Deloitte Partner joins Xometry as Board Member

Finally, on-demand additive manufacturing marketplaceXometryhas announced the addition of Emily Rollins to the company’s Board of Directors. Rollins is a former Partner at Big Four accounting firmDeloitte, and will serve as the Chair of Xometry’s Audit Committee.

Having recently retired from a 30-year career in public accounting, Rollins has extensive experience in providing audit and assurance services for small caps and multinationals alike. Her specific focus areas to date have included the life sciences and venture capital. Back in 2010, she was also appointed to the Washington State Board of Accountancy by Governor Christine Gregoire.

“We are thrilled to have Emily join our board,” said Randy Altschuler, CEO of Xometry. “Her proven track record at Deloitte working with a range of clients as well as her experience with diversity and inclusion make her an ideal fit for Xometry as we move to the next phase of our growth.”
