Soniclayer 1200

Fabrisonicwas granted the patent to use UAM in 2017. This technology is both additive and subtractive as all internal and external surfaces of a manufactured part have a CNC Finish. Through metal deposition, UAM is also capable of bonding various metals at a low temperature.

Soniclayer 1200maintains a build envelop of 25.4 x 25.4 x 25.4cm. It features solid-state bonds at low temperatures (<2500 °F), which enables the capability to weld dissimilar metals and embedded electronics into fully dense metal parts.

Hybrid manufacturing and the aerospace industry

UAM已被利用以创建热交换器设备。这些组件通过了NASA’s质量控制tests last year and will be used outside of Mars rovers to protect its electronic system from extreme temperatures in space. The heat exchanger devices range from small (3 in. x 3 in.) to large (3 ft. x 3 ft.) structures.
